Linear Air Says February Revenue Up 131%, Adds Bahamas Destinations

Says Business Is Growing As Traditional Charter Services Decline

Air-taxi operator Linear Air told ANN this week the company's revenue in February grew by 131% over last year at its New England base. The company also announced it has received approval from the Bahamian aviation authority to fly passengers between the US and the Bahamas using its fleet of Eclipse 500 jets.

Linear Air will fly from the Northeast, mid-Atlantic and Southeast US to and from the Bahamas. This news follows the company's announcement last week of the formation of Eclipse Services and Support LLC to support the 259 Eclipse 500 jets currently in operation worldwide.

"While the fractionals, major airlines, and even low cost airlines reported serious declines in February, demand for our unique low-cost personal air service more than doubled in New England," said Bill Herp, CEO of Linear Air. "Our fleet of Eclipse 500 jets offers customers the most economical personal air travel option overall for both business and leisure trips. I'm proud to announce our expansion to the Bahamas in response to customer demand."

A trip from New York City to the Bahamas on one of Linear's Eclipse VLJs costs $7,750, or $2,583 per person for three passengers. Linear Air operates on-demand, on its customers' schedules, and provides the entire aircraft to each customer as their personal aircraft for a given trip.

Linear Air is the only FAA-certified commercial operator of the Eclipse 500 on the east coast of the US.
