Wayfarer Joins Corporate Angel Network

Brings More Than 20 Aircraft To The Humanitarian Organization

Wayfarer Aviation announced recently it would be joining the Corporate Angel Network (CAN). Through the alliance with the nonprofit charitable organization, Wayfarer will be joining the ranks of more than 530 corporate flight departments providing free travel on empty legs to critically ill cancer patients in need of medical treatment.

Based in White Plains, New York, Corporate Angel Network occupies an office donated by the Westchester County Airport. 50 part-time volunteers and five paid staff work with patients, physicians, corporations, flight departments and leading treatment facilities to arrange 2,500 flights a year. Wayfarer manages over 20 aircraft including Gulfstream, Global Express, Falcon, Challenger, Learjet, Hawker-Beechcraft, and Cessna aircraft domestically and internationally and is headquartered in Rye Brook, NY, with Principal Base of Operations in Weymouth, Massachussets.

In business aviation, empty legs occur at least 20 percent of the time. CAN will receive automated feeds from the Wayfarer fleet schedule daily into the CAN scheduling system. If any of the legs match, CAN will contact Wayfarer to coordinate a trip for one of their patients.

“Wayfarer views its Corporate Angel Network alliance as part of a long-term commitment to corporate social responsibility,” said Bill Koch, CEO of Wayfarer Aviation, Inc. “We recognize that every empty leg is a potential opportunity to give back.”
