Alteon Training Offers BizAv Flight Attendant Course

Designed For Corporate And Business Jet Customers

Alteon Training tells ANN that they now offer Cabin Safety and Service Training for business jet flight attendants. The 5-day course includes training in: evacuation, firefighting, first aid, ditching, as well as aviation operation subjects such as security, HAZMAT, and crew resource management. Additionally, flight attendants receive training in food handling and service. The course is FAA FAR Part 142 approved.

"As the premier training organization for the world's airlines, we wanted to share our expertise with the business jet operators that need a fully trained cabin attendant who can handle emergency situations and is well trained in in-flight service aspects," said John Alexander, Vice President, Americas.

The training features formal classroom instruction and practical evaluations in a realistic environment using two cabin simulators. A motion-based cabin simulator equipped with a passenger address system, flight attendant station, passenger seats, simulated smoke, emergency sound effects, with realistic turbulence motion is incorporated into the emergency training. A different cabin simulator is used for galley simulation and food service training. Practical training includes first aid and ditching emergency equipment.

Alteon Training offers this professional training solution to corporate/business jet operators and individuals. Benefits include improved safety to passengers, reduced cockpit workload during emergency situations, and the potential to improve efficiency and effectiveness of flight operations.

Alteon Training is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company within Boeing Commercial Airplanes' Commercial Aviation Services group. The training organization supports the world's aviation community with more than 70 full flight simulators in 21 locations around the world.
