King Risk Course Gets Wings Credit

We told you about this great idea in April; the FAA has finally blessed it. AVEMCO insurance and the Kings got together to help make fliers aware of some of the pitfalls of our normal way of doing things -- pitfalls that can catch us, if we're not prepared.

Pilots can now get Wings credit when they take King Schools' Practical Risk Management For Pilots. The course can be completed in a little over one hour and King Schools will provide a Ground Training Completion Certificate for the Wings program credit. [Pilots may substitute a completed Wings Program Phase for a biennial Flight Review --ed.]

Money where mouth is:

In related news, the FAA ordered 200 Practical Risk Management For Pilots courses which were distributed to their Flight Standards District Offices (FSDOs), as well as other FAA offices.  John King commented, "Pilots have already reported that the Practical Risk Management For Pilots course has saved lives. We encourage all pilots to become familiar with its content. It's a great addition to the popular Wings program."

Practical Risk Management For Pilots joins the King Schools' Airport Signs, Marking & Procedures course in receiving approval for use in the FAA's Wings Pilot Proficiency Award Program. Each course is on CD-ROM, and each costs $49.
