AeroShell Square -- Full Of Surprises

Airplanes, Helicopters, Warbirds, And Surprises

AeroShell Square is host to a diverse group of airplanes. Here is a quick glimpse of the airplanes that were on AeroShell square Tuesday Morning.

Virgin Galactic’s Mothership Eve took center stage. This impressive airplane is large and graceful.  This airplane will be a keystone in Virgin’s commercial space flight program. 

A British Lancaster Bomber sat on the edge of AeroShell square and it attracted many people under the shade of it’s large wings. 

The Ford Tri Motor was positioned near the Ford Pavilion. This polished metal beauty is a staple of Oshkosh.

An F-16 was present along with members from it’s unit. This airplane has played an important part in air superiority for many years. 

The heavy lift Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane is a twin-engine heavy-lift helicopter. It‘s unusual appearance attracted many Oshkosh Visitors who could walk under the enormous helicopter. 

A beautiful Westland Lysander MK IIIA was on hand. This World War II veteran is known for it’s ability to operate from small unprepared airfields.

AeroShell Square offers visitors to Oshkosh the opportunity to see dozens of different aircraft ranging from the Airbus A380 to Warbirds and LSA's There is an ever-changing parade of aircraft being unveiled, and most draw a crowd. Visitors find it's worth visiting regularly, because you never know what you're going to see next.
