Airline's Plans for Hiring Increase Call for Improved Retention
Charter operator GrandView Aviation launched an improved compensation and benefits package for its flight crew ahead of a hiring blitz, boosting salaries and offering an appropriate hiring bonus.
The company has seen impressive growth, becoming one of the world's largest Phenom 300 operators in the world, becoming the second most active light jet charter operator in the U.S.. The outfit should be an attractive position for those pilots who seek the Phenom 300, with each of its fleet racking up an impressive 1300 hours each month.
Direct hire Captains will be given a starting salary of $110,000, with an additional $12,000 hiring bonus for those previously type-rated for the aircraft. The company believes its "fatigue management program" offers an improved experience over similar operators, limiting duty days to 12 hours, with compensatory rest time, and full benefits. Pilots will be eligible for 100% covered healthcare, dependent coverage, and loss-of-license coverage through associated insurance partners.
GrandView will continue its rapid growth through 2022 as they seek to hire over 70 pilots, as well as appropriate business and operations management and support throughout the company. The operator projects an average flight time of 20,000 hours a month for the coming year, with a Phenom fleet increase of 50%.
