Three Lost In Oklahoma Mishap

Plane Down Near Riverside-Jones Airport

Three people -- two adults and a child -- were lost Tuesday night when their Cessna 210 went down shortly after take-off from Riverside-Jones Airport in Jenks (OK).

Initial reports from the scene indicated the pilot was headed southwest from the airport when he heard something "pop." FAA spokesman John Clabes said the pilot reported oil pressure problems shortly after take-off. He said the pilot was trying to return to the field when the aircraft spun in and burned.

The aircraft went down in an empty field surrounded by homes and an industrial park, according to officials.
