FAA Grants Additional Certifications for G700
Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has achieved additional FAA certifications for its new Gulfstream G700. This achievement comes shortly after the aircraft's FAA type certification on March 29, paving the way for the commencement of customer deliveries and the G700's official entry into service.
The recent certifications encompass both production and interior supplemental type certifications. The interior supplemental type certifications validate the G700's interior outfitting and its advanced cabin air purification system. Moreover, the FAA production certification is indicative of Gulfstream's adherence to FAA regulations across its production processes. This certification was granted following a thorough FAA audit of Gulfstream's engineering, supplier, manufacturing, and quality systems, ensuring that the G700's production aligns with FAA-approved designs.
Mark Burns, President of Gulfstream, expressed his enthusiasm about the rapid acquisition of these additional certifications, attributing it to the maturity of the G700 program. He highlighted the significant investments made in advanced manufacturing and interior innovations that guarantee industry-leading quality, fit, and finish. Burns anticipates that Gulfstream customers will be exceptionally satisfied with the G700's cabin comfort and performance capabilities.
The G700 distinguishes itself in the business aviation sector with the industry's most spacious cabin and the Gulfstream Cabin Experience, featuring an innovative air purification system, 100% fresh air, the lowest cabin altitude, and whisper-quiet sound levels. Additionally, it boasts 20 of the industry's largest windows, offering unparalleled views and natural light.
Manufactured in Gulfstream's Savannah headquarters, the G700 benefits from cutting-edge production methods. These include advanced automation, 3D model designs, and innovative robotic and bonding techniques, all of which contribute to the aircraft's unmatched quality and precision. The introduction of the G700 represents a big step forward in Gulfstream's commitment to advancing the standards of luxury and performance in business aviation.
