Birds Take Down 172, Kill Instructor, Student

"Mayday. Mayday. We're going down!" Along with a location, that was the content of the last transmission from the training flight Tuesday, as a Cessna 172 was apparently disabled in the air by a bird strike.

The instructor and student pilot, as-yet-unidentified publicly, were killed in the crash.
