Maguire Aviation, NetJets Team Up To Build New Facility
Two aviation services companies have inked
a deal to build a dedicated, private terminal at Van Nuys Airport.
Van Nuys-based FBO Maguire Aviation and NetJets have put together a
long-term lease package that will provide NetJets with a
private-use facility custom-designed and operated to NetJets’
specifications and Owner preferences, enhancing its ability to
provide exceptional service to Owners and crews traveling through
this popular domestic destination.
The project includes a 10,000 sq. ft. new terminal with modern
amenities including a streamlined passenger transition to and from
the aircraft ramp, modern furnishings, conference and business
center capabilities, crew lounge and rest areas and flight planning
facilities.
“We are thrilled that NetJets will have a dedicated
facility at Van Nuys Airport," said Alec Maguire, president of
Maguire Aviation Group LLC. NetJets is a world-class company with a
reputation for superior safety and customer service and we are
excited to partner with them on this project. This collaboration
will allow Maguire to better serve NetJets while at the same time
further solidifying our efforts to build Van Nuys Airport into the
world’s premier private aviation facility.”
“Maguire Aviation shares NetJets’ dedication to
safety and service and their exemplary infrastructure at Van Nuys
Airport and extensive footprint on the airfield will provide
NetJets with an outstanding facility," added Todd Baumgartner,
senior vice president of aviation infrastructure & services for
NetJets. "This facility will be customized for NetJets and will
provide our Owners with exceptional service and amenities at one of
their most popular destinations.”
Construction of the new facility is expected to be completed in
summer of 2012.
