Rectrix Designates Worcester Regional Airport As Its New Maintenance Base

Will Relocate Its Fleet To The New Facility

Rectrix Commercial Aviation Services has selected Worcester Regional Airport (KORH) as the maintenance base-of-operations. Rectrix will locate its fleet at the company’s new state-of-the-art Aerodrome facility at KORH which was formally opened in 2015 and built to service all small and large general aviation and corporate aircraft. Rectrix currently operates a fleet of Bombardier Challenger 604, Challenger 300 and Lear 45XR private jets.

“Worcester Regional Airport is essentially a Boston Metro airport operation for us. Given today’s positive economic growth in the Bay State, recognizing Worcester Regional as a Boston Metro airport only makes sense as more and more companies expand to the Framingham, Marlborough and Worcester areas,” said Rectrix CEO Richard Cawley. “And of significant importance is Massport’s infrastructure investments and Worcester’s proximity to neighboring New England states which were key drivers in this decision. It’s simply a great location for business and an easy destination for our personnel since the airport is right off the Mass Pike.”

"I was proud to join Rectrix in Worcester last November when they opened their new facility, and I am excited that their commitment to Central Massachusetts continues with today's announcement," said Lt. Governor Karyn Polito. "I look forward to an ongoing partnership between Rectrix, Massport and the City of Worcester that will bring jobs and economic activity to the region."

“Massport applauds the Rectrix decision to locate its fleet to Worcester from Hanscom," said Thomas Glynn, Massport’s CEO. “The investment Massport is making in the Worcester Airport – a renovated fire station with new equipment and a new bad weather instrument landing system are paying dividends with new jobs and new activity."

“Worcester Regional Airport is a key part of keeping our Central Massachusetts economy strong and growing and Rectrix choosing to establish its maintenance base here is just the latest sign that more growth is ahead,” Congressman Jim McGovern said. “Strong investments like this new facility show why Worcester is poised to be a major transportation hub for New England. As leaders from Rectrix, Massport, and the City of Worcester continue to work together, I know this partnership will continue to bring good-paying jobs and economic growth to families across Central Massachusetts.”
