With this purchase, Capital City Aviation expands its lineup of new Diamond Aircraft which includes one DA20 Eclipse and two DA40 XLS Diamond Star aircraft. Chief flight instructor Brad Guthrie took delivery of this aircraft this month at the Diamond Factory in London, ON. "The training was excellent and the aircraft exceeded all my expectations" said Guthrie of his transition training and delivery flight back to Columbus. "When you take control of the DA42 you are in command of the most technologically advanced twin today. Representing the latest in airframe design, avionics capability and new engine technology, the DA42 NG is designed for pilots who truly want to go places safely and in style."

Its composite airframe, efficient Jet-A burning Austro AE 300 engines, G1000 avionics suite, and Known Icing certification make this aircraft one of general aviation's safest and most capable types.

"Great Lakes Diamond Aircraft Sales is pleased to expand its relationship with Capital City Aviation," said Joe Miller, GLDAS' Columbus-based dealer.  "The club has been a remarkable success story bringing top-of-the line equipment and training to Central Ohio for 6 years. With its all-weather capability and world-class avionics suite, this aircraft will be a popular addition to their busy rental fleet."
