High-Def Aviation Program To Hit Outdoor Channel

A new show about aviation is about to hit the airwaves. WINGS TO ADVENTURE will premier on the Outdoor Channel in the fall of 2005. The new show, shot entirely in high definition will feature outdoor personality and pilot Tom Gresham as producer and host.

"Wings To Adventure (WTA) is the latest addition to a continuing new program category at TOC," said Jake Hartwick, executive vice president of The Outdoor Channel and Executive Producer of WTA. "Management at The Outdoor Channel feels strongly about providing those who love motor sports with an exciting menu of action-packed shows, and WTA is going to be a fun-packed and dynamic addition to this exciting schedule."

According to Gresham, WTA will give viewers a "full throttle and gear up" hot, new aviation show, featuring the excitement and incredible detail of high definition television. "Capturing the magic of flight with the latest in high definition television technology is what WINGS TO ADVENTURE is about."

"Whether it's flying a Piper Cub to a grass field for a picnic, getting a look at the latest high-tech electronics and composite airplanes, or riding along with daredevil air show pilots," said Gresham, "aviation is fun, exciting, and adventurous, and that's what we will show on WINGS TO ADVENTURE."

Taping for the new program began earlier this month, and continues with airplane profiles, fly-in destinations, reviews of the latest in electronics and gear, as well as fascinating stories of some of the most intriguing people in the world of flight.

An avid pilot and aircraft owner, Tom Gresham learned to fly while living in Alaska, and now flies his plane regularly coast-to-coast. A veteran writer, photographer and television personality, Gresham has appeared on several networks, and is currently co-host of the highly rated "Guns & Ammo Television" on the Outdoor Channel. Gresham is also host of the highly acclaimed "Gun Talk" syndicated radio program.

"The Outdoor Channel is for those who do things ... those who are active," added Hartwick. "This show is the real stuff, by pilots, for pilots and anyone who loves aviation. There's no fluff here. If you've ever looked up in the sky and wondered what it would be like to fly like a bird, you don't want to miss this one!"
