Dates Changed For 2009 US Sport Aviation Expo

Conflicts With Nearby Raceway Events Cited

After a fairly successful 2008 event, the folks of the US Sport Aviation Expo have decided to do some schedule shuffling for next year's rendition. The next event will now take place January 22-25, 2009.

The Sport Aviation Expo decided to step aside a few days in order to avoid conflicts with the racing schedule of the Sebring International Raceway located just aside the airport.

The fourth annual US Sport Aviation Expo was, by all reports (and our own experience), a most successful event this year despite uncharacteristically cooler temps and some rain. Aircraft on display came from all walks of the sport aviation world... fixed-wing, weight-shift trikes, powered parachutes, motorgliders, and gyroplanes. A number of these manufacturers, as well other vendors offering accessories and support services, filled over 150 exhibits.

According to local media reports, Expo Boss Robert Wood (pictured left, above) noted that, "We were very pleased with exhibitor turnout at our event in January, 2008... Despite the inclement weather, which limited demonstration flights, we understand that quite a number of aircraft were sold."
