Start 'em Young: Kids' Fake Denalis Look Real

But They're Sized for Little Heads

CusterHaus Inc. has licensed and developed an aviation toy headset that looks just like Flightcom’s Denali headset. It is made of the "rubber duckie" type of plastic and has no small parts that can come loose. The boom swivels and is reinforced with a heavy wire for easy positioning. No cords to tangle, no batteries to buy -- they're nearly perfect!

Developer Lisa Reisman says, "It was a huge hit with our test group (my daughter’s kindergarten class)."

It's available on the website, with shipping to commence in early November. For now, shipping is free, too. The headset (including that free shipping) is priced at $19.95. (It's important to note that, though by its nature it blocks some noise, it's not considered 'hearing protection.')

Lisa let us know, "I am not affiliated with Flightcom, but I do have their permission to sell the headset."

Who knows -- maybe the pretending will get them into the real flying, by the time they're old enough to reach the pedals...
