FXE Struggles To Rebuild After Wilma

More Tragic Pix From An Aero-Disaster

Everyone says the same thing... "it coulda been worse." But judging from these pix and others that have crossed our desk, its hard to imagine that for the moment. Another major GA airport, Ft. Lauderdale Executive, is but one more treasured aerodrome trying to recover from last week's Category Three hurricane visit.

In addition to the airplane damage, we have a multitude of reports about hangar doors that not only were damaged but were blown down, or in and upon their contents... something that is guaranteed to render your bird non-airworthy ASAP. Hangar owners/lessors might want to check on the wind ratings for their respective hangar doors and what they might do, in the future, to secure them against similar meteorological assaults.

ANN wishes our best to all concerned and do be advised that if we can relay any requests or notices that might help those in need, in any way, we'd be happy to help.

Good luck to you all.
