The Zenith Aircraft Company Invites Anyone Interested In Recreational Aviation To Join In Their 24th Annual Hangar Day And Fly-In Gathering
If you’ve ever wondered what a kit airplane manufacturer looks like, the Zenith Aircraft Company, located in Mexico, MO, holds an annual Hangar Day and Fly-in Gathering that is more than just a chance to take a look. The folks of Zenith know how to put on a show.
The event starts on Friday, September 18 and continues through midday on Saturday, it will give anyone interested in building a factory produced kit airplane a chance to look at where it all begins. Even if you’re not looking to build at this time, you’ll be amazed at what you see and how much you can learn.
During the event you’ll have a chance to see a number of vendors presenting products ranging from avionics to engines. You’ll also watch as Zenith holds one of their homebuilder’s forums where people learn the process of building a Zenith kit. Added to this, they have a great project for people who just want to get a taste of how it’s done. This project is to build a notebook cover out of aviation materials using the exact techniques that apply to building an actual airplane.
Educational seminars are also part of the deal. The seminars run the gamut of aviation subjects and you can check the link provided below to see who’s going to be there and what you can learn. Included in the events are a short takeoff and landing competition and a Friday evening banquet. Zenith has even made arrangements for camping on the field.
