Aero-Linx!
Scouring the information super airways can sometimes be a tough, if educational, task for the Aero-News staff... but it also allows us to check out some truly neat and exciting sites, so it's not that bad a gig. On any given day, we may check dozens (and often hundreds) of different sources for story ideas, and facts confirmation. And, as is the nature of our business, much of this is done on the Internet.
The ANN gang decided we probably shouldn't keep some of the neat sites, info resources, and organizations we've discovered to ourselves... so we decided to bring you Aero-Linx. These are the sites that WE check out -- when we need added perspective, a new spin on a day's topic... or just want to escape into cyber-aero-space for awhile.
Look for some of our favorite sites, coming each day to ANN via Aero-Linx. Suggestions for future Aero-Linx segments are always welcome, as well.
Aero Linx: Bell 47 Helicopter Association (B47HA)
The Bell 47 Helicopter Association (B47HA) was started in 2000. Our membership is open to Bell 47 Pilots, Mechanics, and related Bell 47 Personnel interested in the Bell 47 Helicopter. Our association has been approved by Bell Textron and we use the Bell 47 name with their permission. B47HA is an approved affiliate of The Helicopter Association International (HAI). B47HA is a partner of The American Helicopter Museum of West Chester, PA (AHMEC) where we hold our annual meeting every year at Rotorfest. B47HA is a registered 501C Non-Profit corporation. Under board of trustees action in 2002 and CPA advise we elected to be a registered NJ corporation and pay taxes accordingly. This decision was reached for two major reasons. First, B47HA does not solicit helicopters as donations or wish to incur the liability of such now or in the future. Secondly, we choose to have the freedom to use our voice in a proactive nature to better serve or mission and not be hampered by excessive federal control. B47HA is a
worldwide association and growing with members in The USA, Mexico, Italy, Australia, Africa, Canada, United Kingdom, and New Zealand.
