Aero-News: Quote of the Day

ANN's Quote of the Day usually derives from current news, though we reserve the right to pick quotes out of history that have a bearing on the day's events and issues.

Sometimes, you'll find them timely and in keeping with the content of the day's news... and sometimes, they'll just be thought-provoking.

Reader suggestions and comments are welcome... and if particularly intriguing, timely, or poignant, may themselves become future Quotes of the Day.

Let us hear from you, folks!

Aero-News Quote of the Day

“This is a very big year... This is truly one of the last opportunities to pay a tribute to those who contributed to the war in person. And sadly, due to the pandemic, we are trying to find very creative ways to do that. If we do not do it now, we will be missing a tremendous opportunity to educate the public about World War II and why it is such a significant part of our history.”

Source: Bill Prosser, CAF Inland Empire Wing Business Officer, discussing the upcoming September 2nd, Commemorative Air Force’s (CAF) Inland Empire Wing flight over several important historic landmarks which played a major role in World War II. This event will commemorate 75 years since Imperial Japan signed the surrender document aboard the USS Missouri, officially ending World War II.
