FDC 6/5775 ZHN HI. SPECIAL NOTICE.. EFFECTIVE FROM 0604201600 UTC UNTIL 0604210300 UTC, AIRBORNE LASER OPERATIONS WILL BE CONDUCTED BETWEEN 220000N/1580000W OR THE HNL344041.5 AND 294254N/1511612W OR THE OGG016596.5 AND 393224N/1540000W OR THE CDB1421007.7 AND 220000N/1580000W OR THE HNL344041.5 FROM 500 FEET MSL TO 39,000 FEET MSL. THE LASER BEAM MAY BE INJURIOUS TO PILOTS'/AIRCREWS' AND PASSENGERS' EYES FOR A DISTANCE OF 14,400 FEET BELOW AND 28,900 FEET ABOVE THE AIRCRAFT. THIS AREA WILL BE MONITORED BY OBSERVERS AND THE LASER BEAM WILL BE TERMINATED IF NON-PARTICIPATING AIRCRAFT ARE DETECTED THAT MAY ENTER THE AFFECTED AREA. OTHER VISUAL EFFECTS (E.G. FLASHBLINDNESS, AFTER IMAGE, GLARE, AND DISTRACTION) MAY OCCUR AT GREATER DISTANCES. THE DOMESTIC EVENTS NETWORK (DEN), AT (202) 493-5107, IS THE FAA COORDINATION FACILITY.

No pilots may operate an aircraft in the areas covered by this NOTAM (except as described).
