Banner Towed By Airplane Mars Bobby Flay's Walk Of Fame Moment

Celebrity Chef Called A 'Cheater' By Whomever Bought The Ad

Banners towed by airplanes are a common site over beaches and sporting events, normally advertising local bar or restaurant, or promoting a cause.

But in Hollywood Tuesday, such an ad was used to cast a shadow over the revealing of Bobby Flay's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Someone paid to have a large banner with one word ... "Cheater" ... flown over the festivities.

TV Guide reports that the celebrity chef is currently involved in a public and "messy" divorce from Stephanie March, an actress appearing on Law & Order: SVU. The 10 year marriage reportedly broke up over allegations of an affair between Flay and his 28-year-old assistant. Flay "strongly denies" that the two were romantically involved, according to the celebrity gossip site E!. There were also rumors of an assignation between Flay and Mad Men actress January Jones in 2010. Flay is even rumored to be the father of Jones' 3-year-old son.

Was March behind the banner stunt? It's not known. But such a scenario would certainly be plausible. However E! online reports that her attorney Deborah Lans said in a statement that March "is absolutely not behind" the stunt.
