GAMA Announces Stimpson Award Recipient

Pennsylvania HS Senior Jeremy Mumford Earned It

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association has selected Jeremy Mumford, a senior at Maplewood High School in Meadville (PA) as the recipient of the 2003 Edward W. Stimpson "Aviation Excellence" Award.

GAMA chose Mumford for his efforts in maintaining a solid scholastic record while being involved in an array of extracurricular activities. His commitment to aviation is evident in time spent with the Maple Cave Flying club and his longtime interest in model aeronautics. Mumford also participates in several volunteer activities and is an aspiring artist and musician.

Mumford, who plans to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University beginning in the fall of 2003, aspires to become an Air Force test pilot. He plans to join the Air Force ROTC and major in Aircraft Engineering Technology.

Mumford resides with his parents, David and Madalena Mumford, in Townville (PA).
