While at Sun ‘n Fun in 2014, ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell met with Jerry Gregoire, the Founder and Chairman of Redbird Flight Simulations. Jim had previously talked with Gregoire about their prototype helicopter simulator while at the Redbird Migration in 2013. At Sun ‘n Fun this year, Gregoire was demonstrating the real thing; the first production model is about to be delivered.
Redbird Flight Simulations has set the mark for cost effective simulator products, and their new helicopter simulator is positioned to make a real difference in helicopter training. Gregoire talks about the challenges of helicopter simulation, as he reckons hovering flight to be akin to balancing on top of a beach ball. That’s a hard thing to simulate but Redbird has done it.
The programming and functions are extremely realistic and it can be used for multiple helicopter models. Yet, it’s compact enough to roll through a classroom door and operate on power from a single wall plug. This video gives you all the details about this simulator and Redbird’s dedication to realistic and affordable simulation training.
