"Golf Golden Triangle" Gives Pilots New Travel Options
Few combinations appeal to pilots more than flying, and golf.
Besides being rather costly endeavors that require great
determination and skill to master, golf and flying are also
increasingly common recreational pairings for pilots looking to get
away for a weekend.
Paradise Ranch Resort Aviation Services, a service branch of
Paradise Ranch Resort in Grants Pass, OR, announced recently its
partnership with three regional FBOs to help service the world of
aviation, golf and resort destination travel in the state, when the
resort opens later this year.
As one of the first destination resort golf communities to
operate its own aviation facilities on-site, Paradise Ranch has
partnered to create the "Golf Golden Triangle" in Oregon. This
partnership allows residents and guests of Paradise Ranch to visit
Bandon/North Bend and the Bend/Redmond golf areas using Coos
Aviation (North Bend), Professional Air (Bend) and Medford Air
(Medford).
The newly-formed FBO network will give Paradise Ranch guests and
residents access ti professional FBO services in the three
golf-rich areas in Oregon. The resort notes the "triangle" of FBOs
will allow larger aircraft to redirect to Medford, should they not
be able to fly into Paradise Ranch's 4,194' x 100' runway
(3S8).
Paradise Ranch Resorts Director of Aviation Service Tobin
Shackelford is excited about this opportunity.
"What we have created a service at a level that has not been
done yet in the golf and aviation worlds," he said. "This will
allow our customers easy access by air to play and enjoy some of
the best resorts in the country here in Oregon."
Shackelford says Paradise Ranch Resort will be open this
summer.
