NBAA Praises Jean Rosanvallon For Distinguished Statesman Of Aviation Award

Recognized By The National Aeronautic Association (NAA) For His Contributions To The Industry

NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen offered congratulations to former Dassault Falcon Jet (DFJ) CEO Jean Rosanvallon for being honored with the 2019 Wesley L. McDonald Distinguished Statesman of Aviation Award from the National Aeronautic Association (NAA).

Recognized for his “45 years of effective leadership and unrivaled record of success at Dassault Falcon Jet, overseeing numerous new products and expansion into emerging markets,” Rosanvallon was one of six aviation leaders honored at an awards ceremony on Nov. 12.

“For decades, the business aviation community has benefited greatly from John Rosanvallon’s statesmanship,” noted Bolen (pictured), who attended the event. “It is impossible to imagine a more fitting recipient of National Aeronautic Association’s Wesley L. McDonald Distinguished Statesman of Aviation Award.”

Included among Rosanvallon’s many roles in industry leadership are his service as a member of NBAA’s Advisory Council, as well as on the board of directors for the General Aviation Manufacturers Association, the Corporate Angel Network and the French-American Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Wings Club of New York and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

In January 2019, he received the “Lifetime Aviation Industry Leader Award” at the living legends of Aviation Awards in Los Angeles.

Rosanvallon joined Dassault Aviation in 1975, and four years later transitioned to DFJ, based in Teterboro, NJ, as assistant to the president. After an 11-year tenure in France, serving in several executive capacities for the company, he returned to Teterboro as senior vice president, sales and marketing with responsibility for consolidating worldwide Falcon commercial activities. He took charge of the affiliate in 1996.
