'Osborne by GAMI' Will Be Made Available, With Custom Paint, In Ada, OK
While perusing the BeechTalk message board, we were pleased to see yet another positive development for the folks at GAMI. Boss Tim Roehl announced that the company had just bought the Osborne Tip Tank program and brought it under their wing... particularly interesting news for the Beechcraft community.
GAMI's Roehl wrote that, "...GAMI has acquired the STCs and assets of J.L. Osborne, Inc., Victorville, CA. That business is currently being relocated to our facilities in Ada, OK where we will recommence the manufacture and sale of the premier tip tanks available for Beechcraft Bonanzas and other select aircraft models. GAMI takes great pride in offering another outstanding modification to the Beechcraft Bonanza series aircraft where together with our sister company Tornado Alley Turbo, Inc. we can create uniquely capable aircraft with unparalleled performance, range, efficiency and reliability."
Roehl described the acquisition's high points, "Osborne tip tanks have long been recognized as the best choice in tip tanks due to their durable aluminum construction, light weight, 2O gal. per side capacity with a history of outstanding performance and reliability. The installation of the tip tanks on your Bonanza provides for an FAA approved Gross Weight Increase with an expanded range of CG on both normally- aspirated as well as turbonormalized aircraft. Now available with state-of-the-art LED lighting, these tip tanks can not only provide markedly added range, useful load, weather avoidance and fuel cost options, but also improved visibility and lower power consumption."
The new program will be called 'Osborne by GAMI' and the various tip tank offerings will be made available, with custom paint, in Ada, OK.
ANN has a call into GAMI for more info...
