A veritable "Who's Who" in the aviation community has banded together to nominate legendary aviator Bob Hoover for the National Aeronautic Association (NAA) Wright Brothers Memorial Trophy -- an honor that many think is LONG overdue.
The founder and CEO of Savvy Aircraft Maintenance Management and Savvy Analysis, a company that developed a free, web-based platform for piston aircraft engine analysis, says in a blog post that the FAA's proposed AD for ECi cylinders is "one of the most unwarranted, inappropriate, punitive and generally ill-conceived rulemaking actions I’ve ever seen." Sonex CEO Jeremy Monnett is joining American Bonanza Society President Tom Turner as co-chair of the Type Club Coalition (TCC), the EAA announced Thursday. The coalition brings type clubs, owners, and operators of experimental and certificated aircraft together to share best practices, exchange information, and improve safety.
