GAMA Partners With IMC Club At Oshkosh

Announces Proficiency Forum Dates And Times

GAMA has partnered with the IMC Club to host instrument proficiency forums at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.  AirVenture is held from July 23-29, 2012 and the three forums will be held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of that week from 1130-1245 CDT in the EAA Welcome Center.

The forums at AirVenture will focus on improving instrument proficiency through organized discussion of experiences that pilots may encounter in instrument flight.  Each seminar will be introduced by either National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Member Earl Weener or Member Mark Rosekind.

The concept behind the IMC Club is to create local communities of instrument rated pilots, and aspiring instrument pilots, who meet to discuss topics and share information relative to instrument flying.  This "organized hangar flying" promotes the sharing of information and experience among attendees while encouraging safer instrument flying.

“We are pleased to partner with the IMC Club on these forums at AirVenture.  We look forward to bringing pilots, controllers, the NTSB, regulators, and aviation enthusiasts together to discuss these important safety topics,” said GAMA president and CEO, Pete Bunce.
