Lancair Appoints New Sales And Service Center For Mexico

Lancair has appointed Aeronaves Dinámicas del Norte, S.A. de C.V., a division of Grupo Lomex of Monterrey, Mexico, to represent the Company and its line of certified aircraft.

Aeronaves Dinámicas del Norte will serve Mexican aviators from its headquarters on Del Norte International Airport (MMAN) in Monterrey. In addition to representing The Lancair Company’s aircraft, the firm also provides consulting services aimed at maintaining and expanding the aviation industry in Mexico.

“The Columbia 350 and 400 are the most extraordinary personal aircraft available today, capable of traveling higher, faster and farther than any other aircraft in their class,” said Aeronaves Dinámicas del Norte representative Humberto Lobo. “We expect the exceptional capabilities of these aircraft will attract both seasoned aviators and people who haven’t yet been exposed to the many benefits of general aviation.”

In addition to the best-in-class performance and safety that each Columbia model delivers, Aeronaves Dinámicas del Norte representatives believe that the new Climate Control system available exclusively in The Lancair Company’s aircraft will be most beneficial in the region’s hot climate.

“With all of the capabilities of the Columbia aircraft, it sounds silly to put so much emphasis on Climate Control ,” Lobo said. “However, the Columbia’s Climate Control system is far superior to other air conditioning systems on the market and Columbia owners will appreciate the ability to pre-cool the cabin and keep the cool air flowing during taxi and take off.”

The system is the first of its kind in general aviation. Like true environmental systems in luxury automobiles, Climate Control allows the pilot to select the desired cabin temperature and the system automatically cools or heats the cabin as necessary to achieve and maintain that temperature from start up to shut down and throughout the aircraft’s entire operational envelope. The system is certified for use in all phases of flight including take off.

Lobo also knows that the turbocharged Columbia 400 has significant operational advantages for Mexico’s pilots due to its excellent high altitude performance.

“Mexico is a mountainous country and many of our airports are located at high altitude. For example, Toluca (MMTO), the major general aviation airport serving Mexico City, is at 8,458 feet above sea level. The Columbia 400’s turbocharged engine helps pilots fly in and out of high altitude airports with greater ease and safety.”

“We’re very excited that Humberto and Aeronaves Dinámicas del Norte have joined our growing network of International Sales & Service Centers,” said Randy S. Bolinger, vice president of marketing and sales at The Lancair Company. “Humberto has an impressive aviation background and clearly understands the competitive advantages of the aircraft – his group will become a powerful force in our growing international organization.
