Pilot Proficiency Network Opens Floodgates

IMC Club Successor Seeks Expansion, IFR Proficiency for All

The Pilot Proficiency Network has announced the opening of its network throughout the world, bringing another safety and proficiency assist to pilots around the world.

The network is meant to increase real-world pilot proficiency and comfort in actual IMC through monthly meetings to help members build, maintain, and refine skills with their peers. The program uses a combination of proprietary climate modeling systems for randomized, realistic weather conditions to dissect as a group and make realistic go/no-go decisions and flight plans. In the future, flight training devices will make their way into the network, to allow for direct skill building.

"PPN has a mission to restore the human connection between pilots. It's why we love engagement interactions so much," said safety expert and program creator Radek Wyrzykowski. While working in the industry, he noted that many aviators were highly atomized, lacking any real-life aviation support infrastructure. "I have always believed in the aviation community and its ability to come together for the greater good of helping each other to become proficient and 100% safe flyers. We don't need to wait for government regulation or be dependent on a large corporate organization. Let's work together as a team, as one community of passionate people."

Radek accounts for a variety of financial situations, building in a membership scheme suited to everyone's pocketbooks. The network allows everyone to decide how much they want to chip into the pot, with memberships available from a dollar and up. Radek is confident his brainchild will pan out.

"I believe there are enough pilots who will support our mission to make it sustainable," he said. "It is a mission to create a proficiency program that will not be exclusive to just a few but available to everyone regardless of their situation, from a student pilot to a corporate jet owner. I can promise you that in this organization, all supporting membership dollars after basic expenses are paid will be used hundred percent to develop, grow, and improve aviation safety programs for the pilot community at large."

Pilots and instructors can also participate in the Pilot Proficiency Network by opening a chapter of their own. No fee is charged to past and current IMC Club groups (a predecessor organization), and a modest one-time charge for program assets, curricula, and teaching aids is required for first-time chapters.
