Aero-News Quote of the Day

"You get on an airline, you think it's going to be regulated and safe... this accident was just a ticking time bomb. When I quit there, I quit because I [feared] that they would kill somebody."

Source: Former Sonicblue pilot Shaun Crowe-Swords, on what he calls the airline's "atrocious" safety record in the time he flew for the Canadian regional carrier. Crowe-Swords cited a time he flew a Piper Navajo for the carrier, as oil literally poured from one of the engines, to the CanWest News Service. As was reported by Aero-News, one of the airline's Cessna 208 Caravans went down Saturday, killing three of the eight people onboard including the pilot. The cause of that accident is not yet known.
