NBAA 2007: Precise Flight Launching New Pulsing HID System

Precise Flight, Inc. has told ANN that it will launch its HID (high intensity discharge) Pulselite lighting system at the NBAA Convention in Atlanta, Georgia this year.

Precise Flight’s notes that recent developments with its HID aviation lighting solutions combined with its broadly certified Pulselite early recognition lighting system is 'set to bring aviation lighting to a whole new level.'

“HID lighting produces more light, lasts longer and uses less energy," said Scott Philiben, Vice President of Precise Flight.

“There's no question this product, combined with the enhanced conspicuity of the Pulselite® system, will result in unsurpassable safety and visual performance for aircraft in the air and on the ground."

With a 75-watt output, Precise Flight's HID Pulselite System will draw significantly less power from the system's electrical bus, while increasing lifespan and providing light output comparable to a 450-watt incandescent bulb with improved quality of light. By setting the unit to dimming intervals rather than distinct On-Off modes, the light draws significantly less power from the unit, thereby increasing operating efficiency.

"The HID Pulselite® System will also better meet the requirements for early recognition amongst the Pulselite's broad customer base of tour operators, firefighters, offshore petroleum transport, EMS, law enforcement and government agencies."
