Multiple Agencies Certify ADS-B Out For Bombardier Learjet 40 And 45

Flightstar Corporation Granted STC From EASA, TCCA, Others

Flightstar Corporation has obtained approval from multiple international aviation agencies for their ADS-B “OUT” STC and Single FMS WAAS STC in the Bombardier Learjet 40 and Learjet 45 series aircraft. These approvals come from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA), National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC), and Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics of Mexico (DGAC).

The Flightstar ADS-B STC allows for operators to utilize two different options for GPS pairing. Option one utilizes a KGS-200 standalone GPS unit without the need to upgrade the existing FMS systems. The second option utilizes two Universal Avionics UNS-1Ew FMSs as the GPS position source.

The Flightstar Single WAAS STC utilizes a single Universal Avionics UNS-1Ew and LPV monitor to give the aircraft full LPV capability.

“We are excited to have international approvals for these STCs. The US market has responded well to the options Flightstar has made available for Learjet 40 and Learjet 45 ADS-B compliance. The option to extend these STCs to more aircraft markets is a positive note for the aviation community” stated Flightstar’s Avionics Manager Greg Vail.
