Bell Helicopter Delivers First Bell 407GX In Switzerland

Aircraft Will Fly ‘Utility’ Missions

The first Bell 407GX helicopter to be delivered in Switzerland is now in the hands of Alpinlift Helikopter AG, where it will perform utility operations.

"After an extensive evaluation, we selected the Bell 407GX for the advanced safety features provided by its integrated flight deck and the unmatched customer service and support Bell Helicopter provides. The Bell 407GX’s G1000H avionics system with Helicopter Synthetic Vision Technology will allow our pilots to fly more confidently with critical flight information at their fingertips," said Sascha Kempf, Alpinlift’s managing director.

Based in Buochs, Alpinlift performs a variety of operations from logging to material transport and sightseeing tours throughout Central Switzerland.

“The delivery of the first Bell 407GX in Switzerland is a breakthrough for Bell Helicopter in the European single engine utility segment. In a highly competitive helicopter market like Switzerland’s, Alpinlift’s selection of the Bell 407GX is yet another endorsement of this aircraft as a reliable and cost-effective solution,” said Patrick Moulay, managing director for Bell Helicopter in Europe.

Built on the Bell 407 platform, the 407GX features the Garmin G1000H flight deck, providing critical flight information at a glance for greater situational awareness and increased safety. The flight deck's high resolution LCD screens host primary flight and multi-function display information, including Helicopter Terrain Avoidance Warning System, Helicopter Synthetic Vision Technology, Traffic Information Systems and more.
