Dassault Opens New Long Island Service Location

Closes Delaware Location While Expanding Operations in Preparation for Larger 6X, 10X Fleet

Dassault has announced the opening of its New York Long Island MacArthur Airport repair facility in Islip, New York.

The new service location will accommodate up to 6 aircraft to offer scheduled maintenance, AOG support, and pre-purchase evaluations. The center will remain within 1 hour of flight time to more than 20% of the US Falcon fleet, perfect to ensure quick, convenient access to the technical staff and the extensive parts supply at the company's nearby Teterboro headquarters.

The new facility follows a series of expansions to the Falcon jet network, which has grown over the last year to include Little Rock, Arkansas; St.  Louis, Missouri; Stuart, Florida; and Reno, Nevada. The reshuffling of facilities resulted in Dassault's Delaware location being shuttered due to its limited size and parking capacity that are incompatible with larger Falcons on the way. Dassault's closure of the location was prefaced by their contact and assistance with Falcon operators accustomed to using that location, ensuring no downtime resulted from aircraft caught by a service interval with no one to return it to service.

"Our planning for new aircraft and new service capabilities continues," said Jean Kayanakis, SVP worldwide  falcon customer service & service center network. "Customers can expect to hear about new capacity coming  online as the new models such as the Falcon 6X near their service entry dates"
