Event Will Highlight Benefits of Business Aviation and
Westchester County Airport
The National Business
Aviation Association (NBAA), in conjunction with the Westchester
Aviation Association and the Westchester County Association, will
host an Operation REACHBAC luncheon on Friday, September 17 at
Westchester County Airport in White Plains, NY to introduce Ed
Bolen, NBAAs new president and CEO. The luncheon also will
feature astronaut Jim Lovell as a special guest speaker.
During the September 17 event, Bolen will outline his vision for
NBAA as well as discuss the importance of Westchester County
Airport to business aviation and its positive impact on the local
and regional economies. Former astronaut Jim Lovell, commander of
the Apollo 13 mission and president of Lovell Communications, will
relate various aspects of his illustrious career and also talk
about the benefits and advantages of business aviation.
Operation REACHBAC
(Regional Effort to Advise, Communicate with and Help the Business
Aviation Community) is an NBAA program created to heighten two-way
communications between NBAA and its Members in various parts of the
country. Part of that effort involves face-to-face meetings at
which NBAA Member Company personnel, Board members and Staff can
interact, discuss issues and socialize with business aviation
professionals as well as with business and civic leaders from the
local community. The REACHBAC luncheon is complimentary for all
members of the business aviation community.
The REACHBAC function will be held at General Electrics
hangar (Hangar E), which is located at 85 Tower Road on Westchester
County Airport. The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. Sponsors of
this event include Gulfstream Aerospace, Dassault Falcon and Avitat
Westchester.
Individuals are required to RSVP no later than September 14 by
contacting NBAAs Benjamin Schwalen at (202) 783-9266 or bschwalen@nbaa.org. Directions
