VA Governor McDonnell
The Virginia Airport System is made up of seven regions and
represented through the Virginia Aviation Board. Members of
the board are appointed by the Governor to represent defined
geographic areas of the Commonwealth. The Board establishes
and monitors funding program policy and provides a means of citizen
access to the Department in an effort to promote and develop a safe
aviation environment. The Board accomplishes this by
allocating funds to worthy aviation projects.
