ANN Battens Down The Hatches... Coverage Will Continue 24/7

Hatches??? We Don't Need No Stinkin' Hatches...

It's going to be an interesting few days for a number of ANN Staffers and their families.

As Hurricane Matthew bores in on the East Coast of Florida, ANN's Tom Patton has already cooperated with the mandatory evacuation in his part of the world, Chris Odom is weather-proofing his home and hoping for the best and Jim and his wife, Masako (just outside the evacuation zone), may try to ride it out with plenty of water, a generator, gas grill, lots of munchies, a six-pack or two, and a cat and dog -- as well as a few friends that may need to get out of flood zones.

For the moment, normal news production should continue unabated, and we are in a position even if the power goes out, to be able to keep up with the latest news. However; since Friday's Airborne episode would be hitting the web just as the Hurricane should be wailing on us at 100+ mph or so, we've made the decision to hold off on a Friday show and resume normal production on Monday, so that all affected ANN personnel can do whatever they need to do as the Hurricane hits us at full-strength -- especially if that includes a need to head for the hills.

Bri Cross will pick up  with normal Airborne operations on Monday, and with luck, we'll have some good stories to tell and no real damage to report... wish us all luck!
