FlightSafety Developing Level D Sims For Bombardier, Dassault

Texas To Offer Dassault Training, Bombardier Sim Goes To Texas

FlightSafety International said Thursday it is developing Level D sims for Bombardier Global 5000 Vision and Global Express XRS Vision aircraft as well as Dassault Falcon 900LX.

Global 5000

The company says it will design a new full flight, Level D-qualified simulator as well as other advanced training equipment and courseware for the Global 5000 Vision and Global Express XRS Vision aircraft with training to be located at the company's Learning Center in Columbus, Ohio. The simulator will feature FlightSafety’s electric motion and control loading technology as well as the recently enhanced VITAL X visual system.

“We look forward to offering training for these new Bombardier Global aircraft,” said Bruce Whitman, President & CEO. “Many of our Customers who operate Bombardier aircraft look forward to the high quality Global 5000 Vision and Global Express XRS Vision training we will provide.”

The new Falcon 900LX simulator is scheduled to be shipped to FlightSafety’s Learning Center in Dallas, Texas, in November 2011 and is expected to receive Level D qualification early in 2012.

Dassault Falcon 900LX

“Building this new Falcon 900LX simulator demonstrates FlightSafety’s commitment to provide our Customers with the high quality training, advanced technology simulators, and comprehensive courseware they require,” said Bruce Whitman, President & CEO.

The simulator will be equipped with FlightSafety’s industry-leading electric motion and control loading system. Simulators equipped with this technology offer the highest level of aircraft fidelity, enhanced performance, and increased availability due to a reduction in maintenance requirements and increased reliability. The simulators also offer environmental advantages compared to previous-generation devices, as they produce less heat, lower levels of ambient noise and provide a safer environment due to the elimination of the risks often associated with hydraulic fluids, as well as our dependency on petroleum products.
