NBAA Announces 2016 Regional Forum Dates

Atlantic Aviation Makes 5-Year Commitment As Forum Location In West Palm Beach, FL

The NBAA has announced dates and locations for the Association’s 2016 Regional Forums.

“Our Regional Forums present a number of unique opportunities,” said Mike Nichols, NBAA’s vice president of operational excellence and professional development. “In addition to bringing operators and vendors together to conduct business, regional forums expose companies that don’t currently use aircraft to the benefits of business aviation, bringing new entrants to the industry.

"These forums also allow local policy makers who often don’t have experience with business aviation an opportunity to learn more about our industry, which contributes $219 billion to U.S. economic output and employs more than 1 million people," he added.

The 2016 Regional Forums are:

Jan. 28 in West Palm Beach, FL
June 9 in Van Nuys, CA
Sept. 15 in White Plains, NY
Additionally, NBAA and Atlantic Aviation have signed a five-year agreement in which Atlantic will host the Southeast Regional Forum at Palm Beach International Airport through 2020.

“Atlantic is pleased to sponsor the NBAA Regional Forum,” said Sue Sommers, Atlantic Aviation’s vice president of sales and marketing. “These events allow vendors and customers to meet and interact on a much smaller scale than the larger NBAA convention. Often, these events allow for operational personnel on both the customer and vendor side to meet, rather than the CEOs and COOs you find at a larger forum. We hope that in such an intimate setting, attendees take away a true picture of our company from a more personal perspective."

NBAA has identified South Florida as an ideal for location for the annual Regional Forum.

“South Florida continues to be a major market for business aviation and that is not projected to change,” said Nichols. “The Atlantic facility is a perfect Regional Forum location, as it has sufficient ramp space and room to grow the event year after year and the Palm Beach International Airport is a great asset to the business aviation community.”

NBAA’s Regional Forums are designed to meet the needs of local businesses by providing a networking venue and education sessions on airport policies, regulatory issues, safety, security and more. The Association is seeking speakers for all three Regional Forums. Proposals for presentations are welcome on topics such as risk management, maintenance and technical issues, regulatory compliance and leadership development.

The deadline for submission is Dec. 11. Review and complete the 2016 Regional Forum call for speakers form.
