GPSdome Conducts Successful Airborne Tests Of GPS Anti-Jammer And Anti-Spoofer

Technology Has Civilian And Military Applications, Company Says

Airborne tests of a cyber device for protection against GPS jamming and spoofing developed by GPSdome have been successfully concluded in conjunction with Bluebird Aero Systems, which specializes in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV).

"We installed our GPSdome on a Bluebird small UAV in order to test its GPS protection during a flight under jamming conditions," said Moshe Kaplan, GPSdome CTO. "The successful tests showed that the GPSdome-protectd UAV continued functioning under jamming attacks and retained its GPS reception, while the unprotected UAV lost the GPS signal".

"Our GPSdome is a perfect solution for small UAV and other unmanned vehicles, which require a miniaturized solution that doesn't reduce their range of action," said Ehud Sharar, GPSdome CEO. "The amazing minimal SWaP (size, weight and power) of our GPSdome make it ideal for autonomous vehicles as well as for personal gear."

"US department of Homeland Security (DHS) operates autonomous drones patrolling over the USA-Mexico border, which suffer jamming attacks by border smugglers, mainly the drug cartels," said Gai Mar-Chaim, Senior Partner at the management consulting firm POC. "The DHS gives high priority for lightweight anti-jamming solutions for this challenge, and GPSdome is the only commercially available solution that weighs less than 150 gram and consumes power less than 0.75 Watt."

"We meet a lot of interest in our GPSdome for civilian applications, since all other existing similar products have been designed according to military-oriented requirements and cost accordingly," said Omer Sharar, GPSdome VP Marketing. "Our affordable product is miniaturized to better fit civilian applications such as homeland security, emergency & rescue, fleet management, utilities & infrastructures, network synchronization, financial transactions and many more."
