Inc. 500 List Of Fastest Growing Companies Includes Two Jet Charter Companies

Private Jet Charter Companies Check In At 296 And 420 On The 2011 Inc. 500/5000 List

It seems to be a good time to be in the Jet Charter business. Inc. magazine has ranked two such companies on its list of the nation's fastest-growing businesses. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy -- America's independent entrepreneurs. Companies such as Microsoft, Zappos, Intuit, Jamba Juice, Zipcar, Clif Bar, Vizio, Oracle, and many other well-known names gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 500

Desert Jet, an aircraft management and charter company based in Southern California, makes ist first apperance on the list at  number 296 on the 30th annual Inc. 500, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. .

Desert Jet was founded in 2007 by pilot and entrepreneur Denise Wilson to help individuals and corporations use business jets to fulfill their corporate and personal travel needs. Desert Jet experienced explosive growth over the last several years as fractional share owners, jet card holders and aircraft owners turned to the company to provide them with more cost effective private jet travel and ownership options.

The three-year growth rate for Desert Jet was 1101 percent. Desert Jet also ranked as the fastest growing aviation company in the country and #25 of all women-run companies. "More than ever, this year's list is a testament to the creativity, resilience, and tenacity of America's top entrepreneurs," wrote Inc. magazine Editor-in-Chief, Jane Berentson, in a letter to Desert Jet.

U.S.-based private jet charter company ElJet has been named to the list for the second year in a row. ElJet ranked number 420 out of 5000 companies on the list.

ElJet says this accomplishment can be attributed to two simple factors; an increase in customer referrals and overall customer satisfaction (over 90 percent of ElJet’s business is from repeat clientele). In addition, ElJet continues to benefit from the growing migration of clients of competitors who hold jet cards, and fractional shares seeking value and cost savings for their private jet travel needs.
