Raytheon Spotlights Recently Certified Beech, Hawker Models In Berlin

Premier IA, Hawker 850XP On Display At ILA

Two recently certified Beechcraft and Hawker models -- the Premier IA and Hawker 850XP -- are front-and-center at the Raytheon display at ILA 2006 in Berlin this week. Also on display are a Hawker 400XP, Beechcraft King Air B200, Beechcraft 1900D Corporate Shuttle, and a Hawker 1000.

"The Beechcraft and Hawker brands are uniquely suited to the European market due to their exceptional payload capability, cabin size, range and reliability," said President of Commercial Aircraft, Brad Hatt. "Europe has been a strong market for us."

At the recent European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland, Raytheon Aircraft Company (RAC) took orders for more than 15 airplanes, which are indicative of a busy show and the growing European market.

Hawker

Certified in late February 2006, the Hawker 850XP (right) is part of a strategically planned sequence of upgrades for the fleet of Raytheon Aircraft Company produced airplanes. Winglets for the Hawker 850XP were developed by RAC enabling an additional 100 nautical mile range to the aircraft. The improvements feature an upgrade to the Integrated Flight Information System (IFIS) for the existing Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite, and a new interior and cabin management system.  In addition to these enhancements, the Hawker 850XP comes standard with a class-leading 5-year limited warranty on the airframe, engines, and avionics.

The Collins Pro Line 21 system includes an IFIS upgrade that provides enhanced map features to traditional displays (e.g., rivers, lakes, national boundaries, airways and airspace depictions). It also provides the capability to display features that enhance safety and situational awareness such as electronic charts, enhanced map overlays, graphical weather (optional) and three dimension FMS mapping (optional) on both multi-function displays.

Raytheon says the Hawker 400XP is the best-selling jet in the light business jet class. It is also a favorite in the fractional aircraft fleet.

Beechcraft

The Beechcraft Premier 1-A (below), certified in September 2005, is touted by Raytheon as the largest single-pilot business jet in the world. Featuring a totally redesigned interior, and IFIS avionics enhancements as well as several systems’ improvements, the Premier IA is constructed with high-strength composite, carbon fiber/epoxy honeycomb fuselage, completely produced by computer-controlled, automated machines, giving the aircraft a medium-jet sized cabin at light jet acquisition and operating costs.

The powerplants are Williams International FJ44-2A engines that are built on themes of simplicity, low fuel consumption, and high-altitude thrust performance. Collins Pro Line 21 avionics are featured with total system integration and instrument placement designed to make single-pilot operation easy, simple and safe.

The Beechcraft King Air B200 (below) is the workhorse of the King Air line with almost 2,000 built. The most successful series of twin turbine-powered business aircraft ever built, the King Air product line has been in continuous production since 1964. More than 6,000 King Airs have been sold for corporate, commercial and special mission operations in more than 94 countries throughout the world amassing over 40 million flight hours. There are currently three variants of the King Air – the Beechcraft King Air 350, the Beechcraft King Air B200 and the new Beechcraft King Air C90GT.

Raytheon Aircraft designs, manufactures, markets and supports Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft for the world’s commercial and military markets.
