Just In Time For Oshkosh
When you're a manufacturer
displaying your wares at a major event like Oshkosh... it helps to
have some products ready to sell. That's a fact Texas Sport
Aircraft Company took to heart... and the amateur-built offshoot of
American Legend Cub announced Tuesday the immediate availability of
the Texas Sport aircraft kit.
Complete kits of the Texas Sport are now in stock and ready for
customer deliveries. In anticipation of demand at AirVenture
Oshkosh 2007, Texas Sport Aircraft Company has prepared a limited
number of kits. For orders placed in advance of this show, a
limited number of customers can expect immediate delivery.
As ANN reported, the Texas
Sport was introduced in April 2007, ahead of the Lakeland
Fly-In.
The Texas Sport design is based on the Legend Cub and
incorporates the many features of the J-3, PA-11, and PA-18 Piper
Cubs. Builders of the Texas Sport kit can certify their aircraft in
one of two ways. First, builders can pilot their Texas Sport under
the new Sport Pilot rules at a gross weight of 1,320-pounds. Or,
the Texas Sport can be certified at 1,600-pounds and flown with a
private pilot license. The Texas Sport aircraft kit was designed
for both novice and experienced builders.
Base price of the Texas Sport Aircraft kit is
$37,600 with additional options including powerplant, electrical
components, avionics and instrumentation, interior and paint
finishes. Texas Sport Aircraft Company also offers a 14- or 21-day
"KwikBild" program to assist builders with the completion of their
aircraft.
The Texas Sport kit allows amateur builders to complete their
own aircraft with their choice of features and options, often at a
fraction of the cost of a production airplane. A complete kit will
also be on display during AirVenture Oshkosh 2007 in Booth
#222.
