AD: British Aerospace Regional Aircraft Airplanes

AD NUMBER: 2017-10-14

PRODUCT: British Aerospace Regional Aircraft Model HP 137 Jetstream MK1, Jetstream Series 200, and Jetstream Series 3101 airplanes.

ACTION: Final Rule

SUMMARY: The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2014-07-07 for the aircraft listed above.

This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product.

The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as cracking of the forward main landing gear yoke pintle resulting from corrosion pits leading to stress corrosion cracking.

The FAA is issuing this AD to require actions to address the unsafe condition on these products.

DATES: This AD is effective July 5, 2017.
