Dassault Aviation Appoints Charles Wemaëre Vice President, Worldwide Spares

Has Responsibility For Spare Parts Strategy And Logistics Efforts For The Global Falcon Fleet

Dassault Aviation has appointed Charles Wemaëre (pictured) vice president, Worldwide Spares, with responsibility for spare parts strategy and logistics efforts for the global Falcon fleet. He will report to Pierre Thielin, VP, Worldwide Customer Service, within Dassault’s Civil Aviation Department. Wemaëre previously served as Deputy Manager to Serge Elias, the former VP Worldwide Spares, who is retiring.

“Perfecting spares distribution is a central element in our quest to ensure a uniform standard of excellence in worldwide customer support, and was critical in our recent recognition by Aviation International News and Professional Pilot as the industry’s top service provider,” said Jean Kayanakis, Senior vice president, Worldwide Falcon Customer Service & Service Center Network. “I am confident that Charles’ dynamic approach, attention to detail and proficiency in dealing with challenging tasks will enable us to continue to improve and remain number one in this essential activity.”

Following an extensive career in the automotive industry, Wemaëre joined Dassault Aviation in 2011 as a Sales Director responsible for spare parts in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. In this capacity, he was instrumental in moves to regroup all Falcon spares resources in a new facility in Bordeaux-Mérignac, and to build a vast state-of-the-art distribution center in Tremblay, near Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, to enhance spare parts delivery and efficiency throughout the Dassault Aviation worldwide network.

The Falcon Spares group represents a vibrant network of 250 dedicated professional experts around the globe. It includes 16 facilities with an inventory of more than $900 million (US) in parts.

Wemaëre holds an engineering degree from the Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble. His passions include cabinet making and apiculture.
