NIFC in Boise Idaho Urgently Requesting Additional Helicopters for Firefighting

HAI Working To Help...

The National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) in Boise, Idaho has asked Helicopter Association International President, Roy Resavage to assist in locating additional aircraft and fuel-servicing vehicles for fire suppression activities across the western United States.

Specifically, the U.S. Forest Service and other Federal Agencies located at NIFC are in need of additional Type I and Type II standard category helicopters to combat increased fire activity. Helicopter operators currently under contract to the federal government are asked to reevaluate their aircraft inventory to assess the availability of additional aircraft for firefighting efforts.

Operators must be in full compliance with government regulations for safety and maintenance and must possess experience and aerial firefighting experience.

A solicitation has been posted on the NIFC website and may be viewed at www.nifc.gov/contracting. Interested individuals/companies should immediately contact Mr. Frank Gomez by facsimile at 208-387-5384 or by phone at 208-387-5347. A listing of available aircraft by make, model, and registration number with a brief explanation of previous aerial wildfire suppression experience is required.
