AOPA Expo '04: Breaking News -- New Leadership at NAA

By ANN Correspondent John Ballantyne

ANN news-spies have discovered that the National Aeronautic Association will soon announce that it has a new president and CEO. He is David Ivey, a 30-year veteran of trade association management. For more than 25 years Ivey has served as president of the International Parking Institute. Prior to that Ivey worked in government affairs for the National Parking Association and served as press secretary for Bill Clinton's Arkansas congressional campaign. He was an officer in the U.S. Air Force. He replaces Don Koranda who served as NAA's president for six years.

NAA is a non-profit, membership organization devoted to fostering opportunities to participate fully in aviation activities and to promoting public understanding of the importance of aviation and space flight to the United States (Shown above: NAA's Shannon Chambers, Director, Membership & Marketing and Mike Pablo, Assistant, Contest & Records). NAA certifies all national aviation records, and all world records set in the U.S.
