Atlas Pilatus Center Receives Fifth Straight Diamond Award

Recognizes Committment To Safety

Aero-News learned this week Atlas Pilatus Center of Manchester, NH has been recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for excellence in maintenance training with the presentation of the 2006 Diamond Award. Under the auspices of the FAA's Aviation Technician Awards program, the Diamond Award signifies the highest level that a company can attain, by demonstrating to Agency its commitment to all aspects of safety, via comprehensive initial and recurrent training programs for its Aviation Maintenance Technicians.

"Our Maintenance Technicians deserve all the credit, thanks to their continued efforts in winning this respected award," said Todd Smith, Atlas' Vice President, Service. "They have also made Atlas Pilatus Center a leading Service Center in Pilatus Aircraft's worldwide network."

Atlas Pilatus Center has greatly expanded its operations, to the point that it now services some 68 Pilatus PC12s.

In addition, Smith points out that Atlas is responsible for maintaining a growing fleet of 28 PC12s, which are operated by Alpha Flying for its popular PlaneSense aircraft fractional ownership program.

"It is the world's largest civil fleet of PC12s, which has logged over 75,000 flight hours," Smith adds. "It's clear to me that our reputation and experience in maintaining this fleet is largely responsible for our expansion and growing customer base." Smith notes that Atlas Pilatus Center will relocate to a new 84,000 sq ft facility in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. "The investment is a strong testimonial to our continued growth, especially in the past few years and, most important, our commitment to flight safety and our loyal customers."

Atlas Pilatus Center is also an exclusive sales agency for Pilatus Aircraft in New England, New York, New Jersey, Delaware and Michigan.
