Sonex Aircraft tells
ANN that they have plans to host two Fly-In events for Sonex
Aircraft pilots, builders and prospective customers this summer at
its headquarters facility in Oshkosh, WI.
On Saturday, June 17, 2006, the first Sonex
“Fly-O-Rama” Fly-In event will be held from 10 am to 3
pm. Everyone is welcome to fly or drive-in to this laid-back and
informal event. The factory will be open for self-guided tours, and
Sonex pilots will be on-hand to answer questions. Info Packs, DVDs
and Apparel will be available for purchase at this event. There
will also be a local service group selling Wisconsin Brats, hot
dogs, and hamburgers along with other light refreshments.
This Fly-In is a perfect opportunity for people to visit the
Sonex facility in Oshkosh without having to deal with the traffic
and crowds surrounding EAA AirVenture Oshkosh.
On Sunday, July 23, 2006, Sonex Aircraft, LLC will be hosting
its Third-Annual Homecoming Fly-In and Open House from 10 am to 3
pm. Traditionally held the day before commencement of the EAA
AirVenture Oshkosh air show, the Sonex Homecoming and Open House
provides a wonderful opportunity for AirVenture attendees to tour
the Sonex facility and speak to customers with completed Sonex
aircraft, as well as to those still building.
Sonex pilots from across the country typically use the Sonex
Homecoming as a staging opportunity before taxiing en mass across
Wittman Regional Airport with factory prototype aircraft to the
Sonex Aircraft parking and exhibit area of AirVenture.
